2017 PRIDE Scholarship

Applications for the 2017 LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland
Pride Scholarship are now being accepted.
Made possible by a local donor, the Pride Scholarship is awarded annually to one (1) eligible applicant between the age of 17-25, who is a resident of Ohio, and is seeking scholarship money to any university, community college, technical school, art school, or para-professional program.

The recipient will receive a check for $500 with the stipulation that the money is to be used for tuition, books, or other costs or fees associated with post-secondary education.

Criteria for Consideration:
Recipients must be between the age of 17-25 and planning on furthering their education by attending any university, community college, trade school, art school, or professional program. A candidate may have any relationship to the LGBTQ+ community; this means LGBTQ-identified, ally, or family and/or friend of LGBTQ-individuals. While only 1 recipient is awarded each year, eligible applicants may apply annually. 

All application materials must be received by May 15, 2017. The selected recipient will be informed by June 1st

Application Materials:
  1. Completed scholarship application
  2. 3-5 paragraph essay detailing how you intend to use the scholarship and how furthering your education would provide a positive impact on you and the communities you engage with
  3. One letter of recommendation from an adult who knows you well
