Researchers are taking a variety of investigative tacks, from "eavesdropping" on sleeping rats to methodical studies of thousands of dreams, in an effort to fill in the blanks of understanding. Their findings give tantalizing glimpses of the mind at rest.
This is offered as an alternative to PFLAG Cleveland's monthly support group meeting. Those interested in attending should plan to join PFLAG Cleveland members in the main support group room just prior to the support group meeting.
Education options will now be hosted on the upper level of Trinity Commons.

Contrasting stories from LGBT experiences past and present, a complex and vibrant picture emerges that demonstrates both how far the community has come and how far there is left to go (whyy.com)

Food Drive to Benefit AIDS Task Force

posted Nov 5, 2016, 1:47 PM by Quentin Jamieson

PFLAG Cleveland will be hosting a food drive during our support group meeting to support the Food Pantry at the AIDS Task Force of Greater Cleveland. The Food Pantry helps people living with HIV/AIDS maintain their health through the provision of non-perishable foods and home-care / toiletry items. A donation from you will help families affected by HIV/AIDS enjoy a holiday meal and better manage their personal health. Boxes will be available during the November and December support group meetings to collect your donated goods. In 2016, we are looking to collect Non-Perishable Food Stuffs and Toiletries, specifically. A full list of goods can be found here: http://aidstaskforce.org/get-involved/donate/goods/

PFLAG Cleveland monthly educational, pending interest from the support group, will feature coming out stories from those members who would like to share.
Whether you identify as LGBTQ or an ally, we all have a story to share around coming out.  Let's keep the conversation going in a small group setting by sharing that story. If you're an ally, you too have a story about what it was like to hear your loved one's journey.  We'll have some fun ice breakers to help get the conversation started when we break off from the larger support group and head to our separate space
The session is offered as an alternative to PFLAG Cleveland's monthly support group meeting. Those interested in attending should plan to join PFLAG Cleveland members in the main support group room just prior to the support group meeting.
